A Message from the President…
As in the past, the Phoenix Foundation continues to enrich the lives of all Boundary citizens. We strive to provide leadership and support community led initiatives, projects and events.
Some of our activities this year included:

- Spring and Fall granting
- Succession planning workshop with participants from 5 non profit
organizations from around the Boundary
- Phoenix Foundation Advisors’ In-Service that addressed Succession
planning within our Foundation
- Continued partnership with the Vancouver Foundation and its LEAD
programs
- Phoenix Foundation website revision
- Development of a second two-year Boundary Community Partnership
Fund
- Boundary Youth in Philanthropy:
 |
Y Shift participation in the Kettle Valley Forum |
 |
Community Leadership for youth programs and activities |
 |
Participation in the Community Foundations of Canada National Conference |
I would like to thank the small but dedicated group of individuals who volunteer to serve as members of the Phoenix Foundation Board, Advisory Council and who sit on our Grants and Marketing Committees. Collectively, we have been able to touch the lives of many of our citizens throughout the Boundary. - Maxine Ruzicka
Renowned anthropologist, Margaret Mead once said: "Never doubt that a small group of committed citizens can change the world; indeed it's the only thing that ever has."
